What digital smile design (DSD) is
Digital smile design is the process of projecting your new smile on a computer before a single tooth is touched. It starts from photographs, a 3D scan of your mouth and software that lets you see the shape, proportion and position of each tooth on screen.
It is not a treatment in itself: it is the planning that decides which treatment is needed. It can end in veneers, whitening, invisible orthodontics, restorations or a combination of several.
From study to mock-up: seeing it before deciding
The step that reassures people most is the mock-up: we bring the design into your mouth with a temporary material, without drilling or touching the tooth, and you see yourself with the new smile in the mirror. If something does not convince you, it is adjusted there.
That order protects two things at once: your tooth and your money. When the design is validated first, nothing is over-prepared and nothing has to be redone later.

What goes into a smile design and what is settled first
Health always comes before the aesthetic part. Nothing is designed over an inflamed gum or a pending cavity: what is there is resolved first, which is why the study includes checking gums, decay and bite.
From there the plan is put together with whatever your case needs. Sometimes whitening and reshaping a couple of edges is enough; sometimes teeth have to be aligned first with orthodontics so the veneers afterwards can be minimally invasive.
What a smile design is not
It is not a catalogue smile. The aim is harmony with your face, your age and the way you speak, not a uniform white with every tooth identical. If that is what you are after, we will say so: we would rather give an honest recommendation than an automatic yes.
Nor is it a list price or a result promised in advance. What we do give you, at the free first visit, is the study, the design and a fixed quote before starting, with financing options.
