What 3D digital dental diagnosis is
Digital dental diagnosis replaces paste moulds and conventional X-rays with three tools: the intraoral scanner, which builds an exact three-dimensional map of your mouth in seconds; digital radiology, high resolution and low radiation; and 3D CT (CBCT), when the case calls for seeing bone and structures in volume.
At MiD the first visit and the digital diagnosis are free, and you see the result on screen at the same time we do, explained without jargon.
What seeing your mouth in three dimensions is for
A 3D model makes it possible to plan before touching anything: exactly where an implant goes and at what angle, how each tooth will move in orthodontics, or how a veneer will look before any preparation.
It also changes the conversation with you. Instead of describing in words what is happening in a molar, we show you. Deciding is easier when you see what your dentist sees.

What the appointment is like: no moulds, a few minutes
The intraoral scan is done with a camera about the size of an electric toothbrush that travels over your teeth. No pastes, no trays and no gagging: it is the complaint we have heard most often, and the first one to disappear.
If the case calls for it, we complete it with digital radiology or a 3D CT. Then we sit down with you in front of the screen and go through what we have seen, point by point.
